HTC Evo 4G Accessories – www.cell-phone-accessories.com

At the 2010 CTIA (a major consumer trade show for mobile technology) this past March at Las Vegas, the HTC Evo (you can check out more HTC accessories here) stood out as the star. And after the recent launch of this 4.3” Android-powered smartphone from Sprint, consumers are able to see why.  In terms of internal hardware, it is somewhat similar to the recently discussed HTC Incredible (you can see HTC Incredible accessories here). It is powered by the same 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor; 512 megabytes of ram, 8MP camera capable of 720p video recording, and both have an 800×480 resolution. However, that is where the similarities end.  The HTC Evo boasts a 4.3” LCD display, which is the same size of the very popular HTC HD2 (you can check out HTC HD2 accessories here) while the Incredible sports a very good 3.7” AMOLED screen. The increase in size makes surfing the web, reading books and watching streaming media a much more enjoyable experience. One more feature which the Evo has, which not many North American phones have is a front facing camera. The only other phones I know of which have this is the upcoming Apple iPhone4 (you can check out Apple iPhone 4 accessories here) and Samsung Galaxy S (you can check out Samsung accessories here). This can be used for videoconferencing or self-portraits. The Evo also incorporates a kickstand, allowing you to easily place your phone on a table while watching a movie/video or during a video call. This kickstand could also make it easier to watch your own videos on a plane or hotel room. Sprint has also enabled a WiFi hotspot feature to allow you to wirelessly tether up to eight devices. It currently sports Android 2.1 (Éclair) with the very good HTC Sense user interface, but is expected to receive an upgrade to 2.2 (FroYo) sometime during the 2010 calendar year. The next iteration of Android will have full Adobe Flash (while HTC Sense provides Flash Lite) giving Evo users more options for streaming media over the internet.

While all of these features are great, I have yet to touch up on what makes this phone truly special. This phone has become the first phone in the world to support 4G speeds. Over the past year, Sprint and Clearwire have been rolling out their very fast WiMax network which already covers 32 major markets and they are continuing to cover more and more of the United States. While Clearwire has been selling internet access and Sprint has been selling broadband connect cards to make use of these fast internet speeds, they had yet to release a phone which could utilize it, until now. And I do not think there could be a more perfect phone to introduce the WiMax network. This phone which sports a big screen and kickstand is perfect for streaming media on, and with the front facing camera, can also stream video. As well as communicating through video conferencing. All of these actions require high broadband speeds which up until now, was not possible for any phone to gain on a cellular network.

I truly feel that this phone is the first superphone the world has ever seen. And with the purchase of a great phone like this, it is quite obvious that you would need a variety of accessories for it. Cell-phone-accessories has many high quality yet affordable accessories available for this phone.
