This is a replacement antenna whip for the cellular phone booster antenna, the Wilson 301103 magnet mount. If your antenna got damaged but the brass threads on the base are still intact, then this part is all you need to replace it. This option would save you money as you would not have the need to purchase a new magnet mount antenna. If you recall, the Wilson 301103 is a 12.25” FME magnet mount antenna. This is probably one of the most highly used antennas due to the fact that it works with most mobile amplifiers and gives one of the highest gains of all mobile antennas. Impact from being on top of a vehicle does risk damaging the original whip (though it is built pretty strong, the risk does exist. I have never had this problem with my magnet mount antenna), but with the affordability of this one, this risk becomes irrelevant.
