The next few extension cables I will be discussing are RG58U type cables. All RG58U offered by Wilson Electronics have at least one FME end, and these cables are known for being of a pretty low loss. The cable I will discuss in this post is a 2′ cable that has one N-male end and one FME-female end. The great thing about this extension cable is that it can be used to connect your yagi antenna directly to your cell phone using the Wilson Cell Phone Antenna Adapter (it would probably be a good idea to purchase the Wilson 859934 tripod kit). I will show two more cables with these same ends in future cell-phone-accessories blog posts. This cable attenuates the signal by 0.4dB (this is a loss of approximately 9.6%). The following yagi antennas use the N-female connector; Wilson 301111, Wilson 301124, Wilson 301129, Wilson 301142, and Wilson 304411. Interior antennas that use this connector are Wilson 301121, Wilson 301123, Wilson 301134, Wilson 301135. Other exterior antennas that use this connector include Wilson 301157 and Wilson 301132 magnet mount antenna. If you do not want to directly connect an antenna to your phone, examples of amplifiers that use the FME-male connector include direct connection amplifiers Wilson 811101, Wilson 811201, Wilson 812201,Wilson 811210 (which include the kits Wilson 811211 , Wilson 811214, and Wilson 811215), Wilson 814004, Wilson 814021, Wilson 811710 and Wilson 811901. As well as mobile wireless amplifiers (with FME connectors) include Wilson 801101, Wilson 804002, and Wilson 801245 (including the Wilson 841245 kit). However, it is designed specifically for yagi antennas and antenna adapters. But it will work with all the above applications. This cable is also good for tuning and testing your antenna.
