This cell phone booster is one of the most powerful vehicle amplifiers on the market. It is similar to the Wilson 801201 in the sense that it is a mobile wireless amplifier that requires an internal antenna (which is a universal Velcro patch that can attach to any phone or data card easily, included), a cigarette lighter power supply (Wilson 859904, included), and an external antenna (recommended is the 12.25″ Wilson 301103 or the 4.18″ Wilson 301113, not included) in order to be set up. I will discuss package variations in my upcoming blogs which is worth considering if you do not already have an antenna. The one major difference between this booster and the Wilson 801201 is the fact that it connects to your device through a direct connection. It uses an adhesive Velcro patch which must be physically touching your laptop card or cellular phone in order to boost the signal. The major advantage of this is the fact that the booster will provide more power than any wireless amplifier, it can give you up to ten times as much signal as any cell phone or device. The device works with all networks that are not on the iDEN frequency. If you are looking for a mobile vehicle amplifier, then this is one of the best options on the market.
