Please read the first paragraph on my blog discussing the Wilson 301101 in order to learn more about the uses of an antenna. This antenna is the fourth RV/trucker amplifier offered by Wilson Electronics. The first three I have discussed in previous blogs, the Wilson 301101 and the Wilson 301112 and Wilson 301119. Out of all four trucker antennas, this one is most similar to the Wilson 301119, this antenna has a built in spring making it very strong. Like the other trucker antennas discussed, this one is also North American dual band (supports the 800MHz and 1900MHz North American frequencies, including the iDEN frequencies). The antenna has an FME connector (which can be connected to most phones using a phone-specific Wilson Cell Phone Antenna Adapter) and includes a 10.5′ coaxial cable. This antenna has a built in ground plane, it can be mounted onto any surface, it also fits the standard 3/8″ x 24 threaded mount. However, no mounts are included. The mounting options for this antenna are the Wilson 901104, a 3-way mount with spade stud, the Wilson 901106, a horizontal mount with spade stud, or the Wilson 901108, which is a mirror mount for Mack/Freightliner trucks. This is the antenna included with the Wilson 841233 RV kit which my cousin owns, he has been very satisfied with the product saying the antenna is great. He loves the fact that uses a built in spring and is able to take the impact of RV driving (included with the kit is the antenna plus the three way mount, this is a kit about the Wilson 308433 which I will discuss in a future blog). All of these optional mounts include the hardware required to install it. Be sure to check out the Wilson 301133.
