Please read the first paragraph on my blog discussing the Wilson 301101 in order to learn more about the uses of an antenna. The antenna I will discuss in this blog is very similar to the Wilson 301131. Like the Wilson 30031, is a dual band white magnet mount 4.18″ antenna. It requires a metal surface with a diameter of at least 3.5″ (could be placed on a rooftop with a metal plate but designed specifically for vehicles). This one also uses rare earth magnet in order to ensure that the antenna will stay on top of the vehicle at high speeds or times of bad weather, while being easy to replace/remove. However, unlike the Wilson 30031, this antenna has an N-male connector (with the 10′ coaxial) instead of a FME-female connector. While you may notice (by searching through the specifications of amplifiers on my cell-phone-accessories blog) that every Wilson building amplifier uses an N-connector, the purpose of this antenna is not for using a building amplifier in your vehicle. In general, do not use a building amplifier in your vehicle. Due the power of a building amplifier, using it in your vehicle will affect the signals for other phones in the area (phones that run on different frequencies or networks). The purpose of this antenna is for the rare phone/data devices that do use the N-connector. They are rare but they do exist. If you do have such a device that needs better signal, then this would be the best option for you. Check out the Wilson 301132 today.
