If you read the first paragraph on my blog discussing the Wilson 301101, you can learn more about the uses of an antenna. The antenna I will be discussing today is a 21″ marine antenna. While the RV/Truck antennas such as the Wilson 301119, Wilson 301101 and Wilson 301133 (which will be discussed in a future blog) are great options for boats, this antenna is built especially for them (though it can also be used for homes, offices, RVs and trucks). This antenna is fiberglass encased and built to be pretty durable. A previous mention about this antenna has been made on the cell-phone-accessories blog post about Wilson Building Antennas. As I mentioned in my previous post about the Wilson 301119, my friend purchased that one for his boat over this one due to the fact that it included all equipment required to mount it, while this one requires the purchase of a Wilson 901119 (a multi-surface mount). While this one is heavy duty to the fiberglass encasing, the one he purchased is heavy duty due to the fact that it uses a spring, which he felt was more suitable for his type of boating. This antenna is North American dual band (800MHz and 1900MHz while supporting the iDEN networks), has a built-in ground plane, uses an FME female connector and includes a 7″ coaxial cable.
