Please read the first paragraph on my blog discussing the Wilson 301101 in order to learn more about the uses of an antenna. However, this antenna is not like any other antenna I have spoken about so far. This antenna only works with wireless amplifiers, it is to be mounted inside but can act as an interior antenna for building amplifier or an exterior antenna for vehicle amplifiers. This antenna uses a 3M adhesive for mounting to glass, and is attached to a 10′ FME coaxial cable. The item looks very simple hence the reason it is referred to as the slim low profile antenna. When mounting in vehicles, it must be centered vertically on front or rear windshield (avoiding any defrosting lines on rear windshield). When mounting indoors, it must be at least 7′ above ground, horizontally or vertically, in a place where signal is lowest about 40′ away from exterior antenna for 50dB amplifier and 75′ away from exterior antenna for 65dB amplifier as well as being at least 6″ away from any metal object. It is a smart move to test the antenna before mounting it as it uses a 3M adhesive which is known to stick pretty well. Of all the antennas I have described, this one is by far the most sleekest (it would act as a fairly powerful interior antenna for any wireless indoor amplifier and is a good option for a vehicle exterior antenna if you are unable to place an exterior antenna on the top of your car).
