The antenna I will be discussing in this post is the first external building antenna I will discuss on this blog. It is an antenna that works for only the 800MHz (including the iDEN network) and is the most powerful antenna for the 800MHz band built by Wilson. The uses the N connector so it will be able to fit most building amplifiers. This antenna is also not included in any kit so if it is power you are looking for, then a good idea would be to purchase an 800MHz indoor amplifier by itself and an interior building antenna (with appropriate converters, I will talk about converters in future blogs) such as the Wilson 301106, Wilson 301149, Wilson 301143, Wilson 301127, or other interior antennas I will discuss in future blogs. This antenna is a rooftop antenna and mounts onto pipe of 0.5″ to 1.5″. All mounting equipment is included with purchase, all you need is the amplifier, the interior antenna and the correct cables (I will also discuss cables in future blog posts so stay tuned for future cell-phone-accessories blog posts). One product recommended to purchase with this antenna is the Wilson 859902 lightning surge protector. Take a look at this powerful single band antenna, the Wilson 301111.
