If you read the first paragraph on my blog discussing the Wilson 301101, you can learn more about the uses of an antenna. This antenna is in some way a special case because of the fact that it is not built for an amplifier. It is built especially for the top of a vehicle and plugs directly into your phone using the Wilson Cell Phone Antenna Adapter. This antenna is also a NMO (non magnetic option mount antenna) similar to the Wilson 301104. This antenna will improve your signal inside the vehicle by up to ten times. It is 32 5/8″ tall and has a 1/4 wave antenna, it requires a metal ground plane of at least 8″ in diameter. There are three options for mounts, each of which include a 14′ coaxial cable. The Wilson 901101 is a trunk mount that can be mounted onto the lip of a trunk or any similar surface, the Wilson 901102 which requires a 3/4″ hole in sheet metal, and the Wilson 901103 which requires a 3/8″ hole in sheet metal.
