I am going to take a break from discussing Wilson Electronics products in order to present the wide selection of iPad accessories offered by cell-phone-accessories (and there are going to be more products offered as time progresses). For those of you who are not aware, the Apple iPad is the new tablet by Apple which has the potential to completely transform the market. This full touch features an 9.7″ LED-backlit display and will have the ability to run any Apple iPhone/Apple iTouch application as well as including a large e-book store. There will be several variations of the iPad starting at the low price of $499. There will be a 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. All three will have the option of Wi-Fi access or Wi-Fi+3G. The Wi-Fi iPad will be releasing on April 3rd while the Wi-Fi+3G iPad is expected to release in late April. The 3G will run on the AT&T network, if this is a product which you are interested in but unable to get a strong AT&T signal in your area, then perhaps you should look into a wireless amplifier with your iPad. You can read up on cell phone boosters by reading through my previous cell-phone-accessories blog posts. I personally would recommend the Wilson 801241 (applicable to North America only). The cool thing about the Wilson 801241 is that it is a kit which can be used for both vehicle and in building use. The kit includes both the vehicle adapter and the adapter which can plug into your wall, as well as a USB power cable (the iPad does not have any USB ports, this would have to be plugged into your computer), a magnet mount antenna (including a window bracket which can allow you to place the antenna indoors) and a carrying case to help you safely move it from vehicle to building.
April is right around the corner and pre-order for the iPad is already available. The unit has been selling more than originally expected and if you are one of the lucky ones who is going to buy the iPad, then now would be the best time to shop for accessories.
